(February 17, 2015)Sadly Irene, who was a stalwart for the late Butch Holding throughout their time together and in particular through his last few years, has been told she has terminal cancer. Despite her dislike of the drive from North Wales to Barnard Castle she made the trip to ensure Butch got to our reunions, until he was too ill to travel. Despite her illness she is upbeat about it and has accepted the inevitable, in her words "You've just got to get on with it". She is staying with Andy in Hull and he is her support through her treatment. Thinking of you both.
